For years the glass technology live show has been the central hub and the most important source of inspiration for the international glass industry. As a forum for state-of-the-art solutions and a performance showcase for future glass applications, this special show is one of glasstec's main highlights. This innovation show presents pioneering exhibits from the areas of technology, production and glass application.

In cooperation with four Technical Universities (Darmstadt, Delft, Dresden and Dortmund) and selected businesses, Messe Düsseldorf will be showcasing forward - looking technologies in Hall 11. Furthermore, the glasstec conference will provide information on the latest developments while also picking up on current research projects from the special show. More than 70 % of the exhibits are initial releases, projects from university research, experimental concepts or award-winning pieces from student competitions.

This time, a jumbo curved tempered laminated glass produced by NorthGlass will be for the first time showcased on technology live in Glasstec 2018, which is the only exhibit from China presented in this innovation show. This glass regarded as “superlative” by the organizing committee has a curve length of 8000 mm and a height of 3200 mm (4000 mm optional as per customer request) , and its minimum radius is 4000 mm.This exhibit is newly developed by NorthGlass and produced by NorthGlass' new super-oversized bent tempering furnace with rigid rollers.
